Still dreaming about having his own record label to release his music Jan starts the labelDisconnected in 2024 at the height of his success. Born from the dynamic spirit of Berlin'selectronic music scene, Disconnected is a fresh addition to the sonic landscape, driven by Jan Blomqvits´s vision. As founder and driving force behind Disconnected Jan Blomqvist brings a wealth of experience and passion to the table. His journey through Berlin's electronic musiclandscape will infuse his label with a deep understanding of the art form. While Jan appreciates the diversity of electronic musical styles and influences, Disconnected aims tocarve out it´s own space in the world of deep house and vocal house music.
Disconnected seeks to fill the gaps between deephouse, melodic electro and smart uncheesy dreamy vocalsand club versus live concert vibes.The name of the label derives from Blomqvist´s latest album “Disconnected” where Jan dived deeply into the global phenomenon of increased detachment: (“Being disconnected in aworldwide connected bubble/scene is the crazy paradox that in my opinion describesour confusing Zeitgeist the best.” Jan Blomqvist, 2024)
It is not surprising that the first everto be released single (Destination Lost) on Jan´s label is a collaboration with Rodriguez Jr. picking up the common thread again: “We are craving for affection, remotely in reach.Constant worldwide connection, but so lonely each. As he embarks on a new venture with his record label and readies a return to the stage with alive band setup in Fall 2024 history seems to repeat itself always. After three years of solotouring Jan decided to team up again with his childhood friend Christian Dammann (drums) and Felix Lehmann (keys) who will play live as a band on stage. Rumor has it that Jan is evenwriting a new album. In any case Jan Blomqvist's musical journey is far from over. The melodies and songs he's been crafting behind the scenes are a testament to an artist whocontinually strives for perfection, ensuring that the Jan Blomqvist ride has only just begun.
